Surrounded by classmates, family, faculty, coaches, and teammates, Taylor Wray signed with Georgia Southern University’s Division I Clay Target Team on Wednesday. Georgia Southern’s Head Coach, Marty Fischer, was present and stated that “the team got better today with the signing of Taylor Wray and that she was one of the top female high school clay target shooters in America.”
Taylor is the Team Captain of the Westwood Schools Shotgun Team and has earned many state and national championships over the past 5 years. Taylor is also a Varsity letter athlete in 5 sports, in addition to clay target shooting, she is also a football and basketball cheerleader, cross country runner, and track athlete in hurdles, high jump, and relay. She is a member of every club at Westwood and serves as an officer in several. Taylor has been a full-time student in the Dual Enrollment program since 9th grade and will almost complete her 2-year college Associate’s Degree prior to graduating from high school at Westwood. Taylor is very active in her community and currently works a part-time job in Camilla.
