Of the 15 Upper School Faculty and professional staff, 46% hold advanced degrees.  The average teaching experience of the faculty is 25 years.  There is an approximate ratio of one faculty member to each 10 students.

Location

The school is located at 255 Fuller Street on a 23 acre campus in Camilla, Georgia.

Learning Lab

Our Learning Lab is uniquely adapted to assist all students at Westwood. From helping students with learning disabilities to enriching those who are gifted, the Lab strives to provide as many resources as possible to students at Westwood. It is our goal to challenge each child at their ability level.

School Type

Westwood is an independent college preparatory school serving students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 in a Christian environment.

Governance

The school is governed by a 14-member Board of Trustees. Board members serve on Finance Committee, Building & Grounds Committee,  Strategic Planning Committee, Alumni Relations, The Grandparents Club, PTO and Booster Club.

Advanced Classes

Advanced classes in English and mathematics are offered at Westwood.

Student Enrollment

Approximately 300 students represent a nine county radius in South Georgia.

Accreditation and Memberships

Westwood is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. Westwood School holds membership in the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA), Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) and the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB).

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment classes such as Advanced Algebra and Pre-Calculus are offered to juniors and Calculus I and Calculus II to seniors. There are opportunities to take dual enrollment courses on-line as well as with professors from local colleges. There are minimum ACT & SAT requirements for Dual Enrollment.
